It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

It feels good to be able to speak to the audience that enjoy this magazine. For the ones who don’t know me, my name is Imari Reynolds. I am a working Actor, Musician, & YouTuber. Before I tell more about that, I want to share a little background about myself.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I’ve had to face many challenges as I’m sure we all have our different scenarios. I’ve fought on all types of angles to keep striving for the goal. For starters, most people I know isn’t entirely comfortable with moving from loved ones or comfortable areas. I wanted to be in Hollywood, so I drove in my car that had 200k Miles on it. Post Pandemic is still fluky for some people and I’m was one of those. I barely had funds for some of the projects I dropped. I was homeless, living in my car, taking showers at public spots, much more….(I’m good now). Struggles is more a test thing if you ask me. In those moments, I had to ask myself how bad do I really want this & it’s my heart. You as viewer, whatever adversity comes you way, you blocked the negativity and focus on what matters most. You’ll be proud looking back on the results.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I was the kid with a β€œDream” back in my hometown, Detroit, MI. My years there, I discover new talents such as art, music, and playing community sports. Although, I was great at many skills. I wanted to try being an actor since I’ve grew up watching superstars like Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Lawrence, and so many more. Overtime, I got active in local classes to enhance my skills. That open doors for me to work with directors and producers. With the help of many, I’ve gained some credibility (IMDb, etc.). As I’ve grown to love and increase my desire to make entertainment a career, I eventually moved to Los Angeles. To this day, I’ve been featured in over 40 TV/Film projects, over 250+ YouTube videos, Music Videos, Singles and EPs released on music platforms, Awards/Certificates, and still got more room for. In others words, the journey can’t stop.

The work I currently do right now is music, acting and Youtube videos. On my off time, I’ve been working on my editing skills. I successfully manage to release them with a few music videos (YouTube: Imari Reynolds Music) that’s out now, β€œLoose Cannon” or β€œOn My Vibe.”

Although, I’ve accomplished a lot on my own. I still not meeting the criteria. As of Winter 2023, I’m looking to explains and build a team. (Message on Instagram for inquiries) With a team for fresh and bright creators, we’ll be on the map for sure. Stay tuned on that announcement when time.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

The best advice I can give is do not give up on yourself. I know it sounds so clichΓ© but it’s the truth. No one will get it done or will care as much as you should. I spent my early years trying to make decisions to please others. It didn’t make me happy. I chose to be happy and that’s being a content creator. Whatever you love to do, enjoy it and be confident about it.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success doesn’t mean just money. Success simply means achievement. You can achieve by graduating school, a promotion at work, anything that comes with a challenge to overcome. It’s usually the best feeling in the world to know that you’ve conquered. Success is something we should all want to be.

What’s next for you?

What’s next for me is staying locked in on all the plans I have for next year and beyond. I have desire of getting more music out, maybe even a debut album. With this dynamic, future team, I expect us to start on a project or two soon. As far as YouTube, I simply need to deal with more collaborative people. I’ve been mostly doing videos lately but need a touch up.

To keep up with me, you can follow me on all my social media.
